Claudia de Yong is an 8 times winning medalist at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show with over fifteen years experience as a gardening and design professional. In 2013 Claudia won the Hard Landscaping prize at the Professional Lanscapers Awards in London and in 2006 with ‘Hot Springs’ (above) she won a Gold medal and the much coveted Tudor Rose Award for the Best Water Garden. The Tudor Rose is the highest award given by the RHS to a show garden and is only given for outstanding merit.
Previously in 2005 Claudia won a Silver-Gilt Medal for 'Le Jardin Perdu' in 2004 a Silver-Gilt Medal for 'The Court Garden'; in 2003 a Silver Medal for the 'Angler’s Paradise'; and in 2002 for her first show garden, the Enchanted Garden, she won a bronze medal. Claudia says: "I hand select all the plants I use from British Nurseries, find local British craftsmen and women wherever possible and project manage all jobs from design conception to finished garden.
I have written many articles for online magazines as well as traditional publications. I frequently attend both trade and press event, and interview professionals in the field to find out what is new, learning behind-the-scene techniques that can be used on future projects and shared with readers. I have a keen interest in all types of design and style. I regularly travel to Europe and the US to source products and inspiration for home interiors as well as garden styling."
